Task 1: exploring techniques: Greek theatre: chorus exploration

 chorus

choral speaking
Choral speaking in Greek theatre involved a group of actors known as the chorus, who recited poetry and performed choral odes. They provided commentary, emotion, and context in the plays, representing the voice of the community or society in which the play was set. The chorus often sang or chanted in unison, accompanied by music and dance, and emphasized unity and harmony among its members.

some exapmles  of choral speaking is
unison: When you speak all together as one
canon: saying the same line or words one after the other sometimes overlapping

refrain: refrain is where one person reads the magority of the text but the chorus joins in the for the main repeated lines

solo lines: where certain people read certain lines in the script on their own

antiphonal: where one part of the choral group says certain lines and then the other parts replies with the next or following lines

line around: where most or all lines are solos from different people in the group

cumulative: i think of it as mix and match and rise and fall where diffrents amounts of people say different lines to make the line sound fuller/lounder or quieter
